In the clip, he pleads via text with a woman who resembles his estranged wife Paula Patton.

It's quite the emotional affair.

The Week in <b>Celebrity Fashion</b>, Part 1 – The Democracy Diva

Happy Monday, dear readers! Let's judge some celebrity fashion.

DIANE KRUGER at the Critics' Choice Television Awards
gown by Elie Saab, purse by Lee Savage

Photo: Allen Berezovsky/WireImage

Diane Kruger pulled a Diane Kruger, which is my phrase for when someone wears something ridiculously beautiful but also a little bit too strange for anyone else but Diane Kruger to pull off. I want to suffocate myself in this glorious floral print, it's so fucking beautiful. And while mere mortals would look silly in those exaggerated hips, they're just regal enough for Ms. Kruger.

KERI RUSSELL at the Critics' Choice Television Awards
gown by J. Mendel

Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

Did anyone know that Felicity was capable of pulling out all the red carpet stops? Because honey looks FLAWLESS. And her sexy gown has pockets, making her my new personal fashion superhero.

LIZZY CAPLAN at the Critics' Choice Television Awards
gown by Valentino

Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty

Mean Girls's Janis Ian in a romantic butterfly-adorned Valentino gown is still a difficult concept for me to wrap my head around, but I absolutely adore this.

NATALIE PORTMAN in Shanghai
gown by Christian Dior

Photo: Chinafotopress/Getty

Classic and elegant, but not exactly mind-blowing. But it does somehow make this 5'3″ star look about eleventy feet tall, so that's a plus.

dress and purse by Christian Dior

Eh. Pretty, but not exactly revolutionary. If you're going to wear nothing but Dior, at least surprise me in terms of print or color or silhouette.

ROSE BYRNE in New York City
dress by Giambattista Valli, purse by Marni, shoes by Casadei

Photo: Mike Pont/FilmMagic

I feel like I'm supposed to hate those shoulders, but you know what? I think Rose Byrne is werqing that shit with aplomb. I adore the skinny belt, which I think helps balance out those giant shoulders, and the styling is remarkably chic.

ALEXA CHUNG in New York City
dress by Carven, shoes by Bionda Castana

Photo: Humberto Carreno/Startraks

So fucking effortlessly chic, like hipster-fashion is supposed to be, but almost never is.

ANNA PAQUIN in Los Angeles
dress by Thakoon

Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

She never wears anything but little black dresses, but at least this is a sexy, interesting one. Love the gold shit around the neck and the hint of sideboob.

CHLOË MORETZ in New York City
dress by Christopher Kane, purse by Coach, shoes by Stuart Weitzman

Photo: Mark Sagliocco/FilmMagic

I predicted about a year ago that Chloë Moretz would wear this exact dress, because I am a motherfucking red carpet PROPHET, bitches. And if you ignore the hideous purse, which was sort of required because Coach co-sponsored teh event, this is one of Chloë's best looks yet. Stop by the blog more often, girl. We clearly make a good team.

LI BINGBING in Hong Kong
dress by Zuhair Murad

Photo: Callaghan Walsh/Getty

Modern, funky, and sexy, but the shoes make me sad.

LI BINGBING in Hong Kong
gown by Stèphane Rolland, purse by Jimmy Choo

Photo: Callaghan Walsh/Getty

Points for originality, but this is a big old mess.

OLIVIA WILDE in New York City
dress by Stella McCartney, shoes by Jerome C. Rousseau

Photo: Jamie McCarthy/WireImage

Sporty-chic and adorable. Also, this woman just gave birth like two months ago. GO AND GET IT, HONEY.

CAMERON DIAZ in Barcelona
dress by Roland Mouret, shoes by Chelsea Paris

Photo: Europa/Getty

I think the gray-white dress with ivory printed shoes is a little confusing, but mostly, I think I just don't like Cameron Diaz's face and so it makes me hate everything she wears. I might not be fair, but at least I'm honest, dear readers.

BONNIE WRIGHT in Orlando, Florida
dress and shoes by Miu Miu

Photo: Gustavo Caballero/Getty

Ginny Weasley hit up the opening of the new Harry Potter World wearing her favorite designer, Miu Miu. The earrings are a little distracting, but the dress is adorable. Are those unicorns? I don't know, and I don't care. They're awesome.

JESSICA ALBA in New York City
skirt by Topshop

Photo: NPC/Star Max/GC

If it were me, there would be coffee stains all over that fucking purse. But apparently Jessica Alba is like, a normal human being who can wear white without spilling on it. I will never understand this.

JESSICA ALBA in New York City
dress by Vivienne Westwood, purse by Kotur, shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti

Photo: Broadimage/Newswire

A copper dress with gold accessories isn't a great idea to start with, and I think these colors make Jessica look awfully orange. But my biggest problem with this look is the ugly seaming in that dress, which puckers and cuts her in awkward places.

EMMY ROSSUM at the Critics' Choice Television Awards
gown by Monique Lhuillier

Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

No. Those earrings are just ridiculous. Go home, Emmy Rossum, your jewelry is drunk.

NAOMI WATTS in New York City
gown by Burberry, necklace by Bulgari, purse by Edie Parker

Photo: Richie Buxo/Splash News

… I mean, or you could wear a dress that fits. Just a thought.

KATE MARA in New York City
top and skirt by Sandro, purse by Coach

Photo: Mike Coppola/Getty

What is that yellow cape? Is she a hipster superhero? And these accessories are a nightmare. I don't even know what to insult first. (Well, I guess that's not true, because the cape already won that battle.)

COCO ROCHA in New York City
gown by Zac Posen

Photo: Monica Schipper/Getty

SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE. COCO ROCHA HAS SOMEHOW LOST BOTH HER ARMS. OR IT IS POSSIBLE SHE IS DISGUISING HERSELF AS AN OLD-FASHIONED COUCH TO HIDE FROM DEATH EATERS À LA PROFESSOR SLUGHORN.

Naked <b>Celebrity Fashion</b> Magazine Covers Photos - The Gloss

Posted: 20 Jun 2014 12:05 PM PDT

Kim Kardashian W Mag Crop

Uh, aren't they supposed to be promoting clothing? I think sometimes fashion magazines get too caught up in trying something different and they forget that they are all about the clothes–and whatever film/album/perfume a celebrity is shamelessly promoting. Pink recently stripped for Who Magazine, Cristiano Ronaldo kept his modesty by posing behind a clothed Irina Shayk for Vogue Spain, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked like a semi-naked housewife on Harper's Bazaar. And who could forget Rihanna's topless Lui cover that triggered a week of her showing off her areolae.

Here are 15 other covers where the fashion magazine chose to advertise flesh instead of clothing:

1. Scarlett Johansson V Magazine Winter 2012/2013

It took me a second to figure out this cover. At first glance, I didn't even realize that this was Scarlett Johansson. Then I had to figure out whether or not she was holding icicles. It turns out it is actually just a shower curtain. Duh. I was too confused by all this to notice the missing clothes.

2. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley German Vogue November 2011

Well it turns out that a gazillion dollar diamond necklace is more distracting than a naked Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I never would have thought that. Kudos to German Vogue for at least promoting something we can buy–after we win the lottery.

3. Natalia Vodianova British Vogue June 2009

Having supermodel Natalia Vodianova pose naked on the cover of British Vogue certainly celebrates shape, but how does it celebrate style? Maybe they meant "hairstyle?"

4. Naomi Campbell Love Magazine Issue 3

Love Magazine Naomi Campbell Cover Issue 3

Love Magazine Via.

Love Magazine knew that putting a nude Naomi Campbell on their cover would result in it being censored, so they did the job for us. Way to think ahead.

5. Lake Bell New York Magazine Fall 2013 Fashion Issue

Sorry Lake Bell, a stunning (fake) tattoo doesn't replace your regular top and trousers. It doesn't matter how gorgeous the body art is.

6. Lady Gaga Harper's Bazaar March 2014

Lady Gaga is wearing boning on this Harper's Bazaar subscriber's cover, but a structural trim does not count as clothing–especially when it isn't doing a very good job of covering that right nipple.

7. Kate Moss Vogue Brasil May 2011

If Kate Moss is on the cover of Playboy, then I expect her to be naked. If she's on the cover of Vogue Brasil, I expect her to wear a bit more than Wonder Woman cuffs.

8. Kim Kardashian W Magazine November 2010

Magazines sometimes debate whether an outfit is scandalous enough to get black-barred, but it's rare they substitute bars for clothing like W Magazine did for this Kim Kardashian cover. It makes sense since everything is all about Kim's boobs.

9. Gisele Bundchen Vanity Fair May 2010

Gisele Bundchen Vanity Fair May 2010

Vanity Fair Via.

Vanity Fair made Gisele Bundchen put what appears to be a dress around her waist so they could have some clothing to put on the credits page. Oh wait, she's got a ring and bracelet too.

10. Christina Aguilera Marie Claire January 2008

I'm still counting this as a naked cover despite the fact Christina Aguilera is wearing a leather jacket. The skin-to-clothing ratio is definitely on the naked side of the scale.

11. Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn i-D Magazine April 2011

Karlie Kloss Jourdan Dunn iD Magazine April 2011

i-D Via.

i-D was smart enough to know that if they put two naked models on the cover, people might think that this is a nudie magazine, so they put a reassuring disclaimer that there are clothes on the other pages. Phew.

12. Miley Cyrus German Vogue March 2014

Miley Cyrus went for a Marilyn Monroe-inspired look on the cover of German Vogue (it seems like they have a thing for naked covers). What is more Marilyn than blonde curls, red lipstick and cleavage?

13. Adam Levine and Anne V Russian Vogue November 2011

Adam Levine Russian Vogue November 2011

Russian Vogue Via.

Adam Levine has made some poor style choices. Just take a look at that Draco Malfoy-inspired bleached hair for proof. Posing naked for Russian Vogue, with his now ex-girlfriend, Anne V, wasn't one of his best decisions either.

14. Cara Delevingne Love Magazine Issue 9

Cara Delevingne Love Magazine

Love Magazine Via.

It looks like Cara Delevingne wasn't ready for her Love Magazine cover shoot, so they just photographed her while she had her bath–in full makeup.

15. Keira Knightley Allure December 2012

Keira Knightley Allure December 2012 1

Allure Via.

Like Christina Augilera (#10), Keira Knightley is wearing some clothing on this Allure cover, but the fact they had to Photoshop out her nipple to make it appropriate for new-stands, means that she is essentially naked.
